DSGMC asks India to stop extradition of Aslam Farooqui who plotted massacre of Afghan Sikhs

NEW DELHI, India—Reacting to Pakistan’s demand of Aslam Farooqui’s extradition from Afghanistan, the DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa has asked the Indian government to stop this extradition by taking up the issue with the Afghanistan government. He has alleged that the Pakistan government wants to erase the evidences of suicidal attack carried out on Gurdwara Sahib in Kabul on March 25.

In a video message uploaded over social media, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Aslam Farooqui is a Pakistani national due to which Pakistan seems to be a mastermind of this attack. He has claimed that Aslam Farooqui is related to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

“The Pakistan government has sought extradition of Aslam Farooqui as it wants to erase all the evidences of this massacre,” Sirsa said while asking the Indian government to act by time to prevent this extradition so that the real conspirators of this massacre could get unearthed.

It is noteworthy here that Aslam Farooqui is the chief of Islamic State Khorasan Province. He had plotted the suicidal attack on Gurdwara Sri Har Rai Sahib Ji situated in Shor Bazaar of Kabul. In this attack, 25 Sikhs had lost lives while eight others were left injured.

The Afghan Forces had arrested Aslam Farooqui along with 20 other terrorists on April 4 and the reports about his collusion with Pakistan based LeT and Haqqani network had surfaced over mainstream Indian media outlets.  

Recently, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs had revealed that the Afghanistan’s High Commissioner to Pakistan was called to Islamabad seeking extradition to Aslam Farooqui.
