Pakistan seeks extradition of ISKP chief Aslam Farooqui who plotted massacre of Afghan Sikhs

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Pakistan government has sought extradition of Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) chief Mawlawi Abdullah alias Aslam Farooqui from the Afghanistan government. Notably, the Afghan Forces had arrested Aslam Farooqui on April 4 along with other 20 other terrorists including four Pakistani nationals.

Aslam Farooqui was the chief plotter of suicidal attack carried out on Gurdwara Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib of Kabul on March 25. Around 25 Sikhs had lost lives in this deadly attack while eight others were left injured.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that the Afghanistan’s High Commissioner to Pakistan was called to Islamabad seeking extradition to Aslam Farooqui.

It is noteworthy here that Aslam Farooqui belongs to the Mamozai tribe of Pakistan and is a resident of the Orakzai agency area on the international border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Earlier, the Indian media had highlighted Aslam Farooqui’s links with Pakistan-based terror networks like Lashkar and Haqqani while claiming their direct involvement in March 25’s suicidal attack on Gurdwara of Kabul.

  1. The terrorist attack took place in Kabul Afghanistan. So let the Afghan NDS(National Defense Services) investigate. Indian,Pakistani and Afghan intelligence Should form joint team and with American oversight to do proper probe. The Sikhs deserve impartial probe which should satisfy them and withstand international scrutiny.
