Will follow Jathedar Hawara’s direction to hoist Sikh flags on Vaisakhi, say SYFB and JHeK

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala and Jatha Himat-e-Khalsa have announced that it will follow Akal Takht Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara’s call to celebrate Vaisakhi indoors while reciting Gurbani and hoisting the Sikh flags on the roofs. Notably, Jathedar Hawara’s had made this direction due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic all over the world.

Speaking with Sikh24, SYFB’s president Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal informed that all the members of his organization will recite Gurbani while hoisting the Sikh flags on the roofs of their houses. “We will also pray for the high morale of the Sikh community as well as for the safety of entire humanity from the coronavirus,” he added.  

Jatha Himat-e-Khalsa’s president Bhai Punjab Singh Sultanwind said that the Khalsa Sajna Diwas aka Vaisakhi holds an immense importance for the Sikhs as Guru Sahib had blessed us with a unique identity on this day. “The Sikhs have depicted incomparable bravery in various battles globally after getting baptized,” he added.

The presidents of duo bodies said that they had rejected Modi’s stupid calls of banging utensils, lighting candles etc. and will continue to reject such calls in future also.
