Afghanistan turns down Pakistans request to extradite Aslam Farooqui

:dateline:Latest updates reveal that the Afghanistan government has refused to handover ISKP chief Aslam Farooqui to Pakistan. Notably, the Pakistan government had sought extradition of Farooqui on April 9 by calling Afghanistans envoy to Islamabad.

The Afghanistan government has said that Aslam Farooqui killed hundreds of Afghans so he will be punished under the law of Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan government has also clarified that it was not obliged to hand over Aslam Farooqui to Pakistan as there is no such treaty between the two countries.

It is noteworthy here that Aslam Farooqui is the chief of Islamic State Khorasan Province. He had plotted the suicidal attack on Gurdwara Sri Har Rai Sahib Ji situated in Shor Bazaar of Kabul. In this attack, 25 Sikhs had lost lives while eight others were left injured.

The Afghan Forces had arrested Aslam Farooqui along with 20 other terrorists on April 4 and the reports about his collusion with Pakistan based LeT and Haqqani network had surfaced over mainstream Indian media outlets.
