DSGMC ready to feed millions if government permits, says Manjinder Singh Sirsa

NEW DELHI, India—Amid ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is feeding more than 1,00,000 needy people daily. The DSGMC has said it was ready to provide free food to any number of needy people in Delhi if the government asks.

Interacting with media, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the DSGMC was utilizing only 5% of its total capacity to cook food for needy people. “We have appealed the Delhi government to demand free food in any quantity and we are ready to serve that quantity,” he added.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa further said that the donators are also generously helping them out in this initiative to feed needy people amid this pandemic.

It is learnt that the free community kitchens of Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Sees Ganj Sahib, Gurdwara Guru Nanak Sahib are serving langar to 25000, 30000 and 30000 people respectively. Beside it, the Sikhs are also serving free food to around 20000 people daily.
