Female labor activist Nodeep Kaur gets released from Karnal jail; Announces to rejoin farmers’ agitation

Female labor activist Nodeep Kaur has been released from Karnal jail. Nodeep was released after enduring hardships of police and judicial remand for about seven weeks for actively participating in the farmers’ protest.

Notably, she was granted bail in the third and the last case pending against her by the Punjab & Haryana High Court.

Interacting with media after getting released, Nodeep Kaur thanked all those who raised voice for her release. “Neither I committed any illegal act nor do I shall commit any illegal act in future, but I would continue to fight people’s rights,” she said.

Nodeep Kaur appealed to the worldwide masses to raise a voice for another activist Shiv Kumar who was brutally tortured by the police. Shiv has been tormented in police custody and has severe pain due to multiple fractures endured in policy custody.

On being questioned about her future course of action, Nodeep Kaur said that she is currently going with her family, but she would rejoin the farmers’ stir at the Singhu border in the coming days.
