400th Parkash Purab Celebrations: Sri Akhand Path Sahib begins at Gurdwara Guru Ke Mehal

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has laid Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Guru Ke Mehal (Amritsar Sahib) in commemoration of the 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. Notably, the 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji will be celebrated globally next year.

Interacting with media, SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh informed that Sri Akhand Path Sahib will be culminated on April 12 following which an exhibition of beautiful Sikg artifacts will be held at Sri Harmandir Sahib. “The remaining yearlong programs commemorated to Guru Sahib’s Parkash Purab will be chalked out after lifting of lockdown,” he added.

Sri Harmandir Sahib’s additional head granthi Giani Jagtar Singh, SGPC’s senior vice president Rajinder Singh Mehta, SGPC’s additional secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhoora Kohna, Sri Darbar Sahib’s Manager Mukhtar Singh, additional manager Rajinder Singh Ruby etc. were also present on this occasion.
