RISHIKESH, Uttarakhand—The gates of hilly Sikh shrine Sri Hemkunt Sahib were closed amid echoes of Sikh ovation on October 10 due to upcoming winter season. Now, the gates of Sri Hemkunt Sahib will be opened during the next season in May-2020.
Around 3000 devotees were present in the concluding religious program held on October 10. The gates were closed following recitation of Sukhmani Sahib and performing Ardas.
The members of Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust informed that more than 2,50,000 devotees from all over the world received blessings of Guru Sahib by paying obeisance at Sri Hemkunt Sahib this year.
