CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Terming the RSS as a threat to the minorities residing in India, the acting Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has sought a ban on the RSS. He has said that the Mohan Bhagwat’s announcement to convert India into a Hindu nation will prove extremely dangerous for India.
Addressing a Sikh Conference at Sri Anandpur Sahib on October 10, Giani Harpreet Singh said that the India comprises of a large number of communities having different languages, faith and cultural values. “Announcement by the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to convert India into a Hindu nation will prove extremely dangerous for the country,” he added.
It is noteworthy here that the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has reiterated the RSS’ stance to convert India into Hindu nation in his Dussehra speech. He has even said that the Modi led Indian government was fulfilling the list of RSS’ wishes.
“The vision and proclamation of the RSS regarding the identity of the nation and the identity of the country’s nature were clear, well-thought-of and firm that Bharat was Hindustan, Hindu Rashtra,” Bhagwat said at an event organized in Nagpur on October 8.
