ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—The federal government of Pakistan has announced to invite the former Indian PM Dr. Manmohan Singh to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor scheduled for November 9.
On September 30, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Mr. Mahmood Qureshi said that the Pakistan government holds high regard for Dr. Manmohan Singh. “We would like to invite Dr. Manmohan Singh to attend the inauguration of Kartarpur corridor on November 9 for which the Pakistan government is preparing in a big way,” he added.
“On behalf of the government, as the foreign minister of Pakistan, I invite him to attend the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor,” said Qureshi, adding that the government also intends to send a formal written invitation to him.
