Investigation of corruption charges against Manjit Singh GK handed over to crime branch of Delhi police

NEW DELHI, India—Latest developments reveal that the Delhi police have handed over the case of corruption charges against the former DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK to its crime branch. The Delhi police have revealed this fact in the status report about this case submitted in the Patiala House Court today.

The Delhi police have also revealed that the Delhi police have added sections 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using forged documents as genuine one) in the FIR registered against Manjit Singh GK. Notably, sections 420 and 34 were already imposed earlier.

It may be recalled here that the Delhi police had registered an FIR against the former DSGMC president Manjit Singh for embezzling foreign funds worth 1,00,000 Canadian dollars on December 13 last year. Besides GK, the former general manager Harjit Singh Subedar and joint secretary Amarjit Singh Pappu were also indicted in this FIR.
