Handicapped Sikh farmer, whose 10 acres arable land has been illegally acquired by Dera Beas, begins hunger strike

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A physically handicapped Sikh farmer named Rajinder Singh Dhilwan, whose 10 acres agriculture land has been illegally acquired by the Dera Beas, is on hunger strike for an infinite period since July 14. He has said that he has shunned food and if the government doesn’t take any action to provide back his land, then he will also shun water.

Interacting with media, Rajinder Singh Dhilwan informed that he has approached the higher authorities up to the former Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh but all of them have expressed helplessness in providing him back his land.  “I also approached the former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore but they also didn’t listen to me,” he added.
