Pakistan government opens 500 years old Gurdwara Babe Di Ber in Sialkot

LAHORE, Punjab—The Pakistan government has opened 500 years old Gurdwara Babe Di Ber situated in Sialkot of Punjab province. Now, the Indian Sikh devotees will also be able to pay obeisance at this historic Sikh shrine, which remained closed for a long time.

This Gurdwara Sahib was built by a Sikh devotee named Natha Singh in the memory of first Sikh master Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is said that Guru Nanak Sahib had taken rest beneath the tree of berries at this place in Sialkot while returning from Kashmir.

Situated at a distance of 140 Kilometers from Lahore, this Gurdwara Sahib has been opened on the directions of west Punjab’s Governor Mohammad Sarvar.
