:dateline:Latest developments reveal that the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is serving triple life sentence for raping his two female disciples and murdering a journalist, has withdrawn his parole plea. Notably, Gurmeet Ram Rahim had moved an application for parole a few days back, citing the reason of cultivating his farms in Sirsa but later it had come to fore that he doesn�t have any land on his name in Sirsa.
It is learnt that Gurmeet Ram Rahim has withdrawn his parole plea observing weak ground and mass protests against his parole plea. He is expected to move fresh parole plea seeking parole on a different solid ground in the coming days as the BJP led Haryana government is willing to help him in the wake of upcoming assembly polls in Haryana.
Before this parole plea, Gurmeet Ram Rahim had also moved a parole plea in May this year in which he had demanded parole for attending the wedding of his adopted daughter. Later, he had also withdrawn this parole plea.
