Protest March Taken Out in Rajasthan Against Brutal Thrashing of Sikh Driver by Delhi Police Cops

SRI GANGANAGAR, Rajasthan—Pained over the brutal thrashing of a Sikh driver and his son by the Delhi police cops, the Sikh sangat of Rajasthan today taken out a protest march in Sri Ganganagar. Not only Sikhs but the common people of other communities also participated in this march, which started from Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed.  

Addressing the protesters outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the convener of Sikh Advisory Committee Tejinder Pal Singh Timma said that the Sikhs were being targeted in India like they used to get targeted by the Mughals and Britishers. “Now, the time has come to take out our weapons to teach lesson to these atrocious elements,” he added.

Justifying the use of Kirpan by the victim Sikh driver Sarabjit Singh, Timma said that Sarabjit Singh first leniently talked to the Delhi cops, but when they took out weapons then he also acted as per the path enlightened by our Guru Sahib.

“We are ready to give a befitted reply to each and every attack on us,” said Tejinder Pal Singh Timma.
