:dateline:On June 17, the Japanese ambassador to India Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu paid obeisance at sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib along with his wife. On this occasion, he was honored at the Information Center of Sri Harmandir Sahib complex by the SGPC officials.
Interacting with the media, Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu told reporters that many Japanese companies are eager to invest money in Punjab and are showing interest in setting up industries here. �This initiative will increase economic and industrial partnership among both the countries,� he added.
Kenji Hiramatsu said that efforts are being made to increase business relations between India and Japan, and Punjab is the first priority of Japanese investors.
�I will remain in Punjab for two days and will also explore opportunities in which area investments could be made here,� he informed.
