Pakistan Completes 70% Construction Work of Kartarpur Corridor

LAHORE, Punjab—The Federal government of Pakistan has released a video of the second phase of Kartarpur corridor project. As per this video, the construction work of Kartarpur corridor project on Pakistani side will be completed by August 31.

Er. Khasif Ali, the senior engineer of company constructing the Kartarpur corridor on the Pakistani side, has said that the construction work of Kartarpur corridor project is ongoing day and night. “The foundation work has been almost completed while the bridge construction on Raavi river and other construction work is almost 70% complete,” he said while adding that the project will be completed by August 31.

Er. Khasif Ali further informed that the bridge height on Raavi river has been fixed after taking into consideration the record of maximum water level in the past 100 years. “We have also made sufficient arrangements to save the premises of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib in situation of floods,” he added.

Sikh24 has learnt that the construction work of road leading to the Indian border and the construction of terminal, a gallery and rest houses near Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib has been also almost completed.

Assistant Manager Zishan Ali has informed that a sarovar of 9868 square feet is also being constructed near the historic Sikh shrine. “A water cleaning plant is also being installed in this sarovar,” he added.
