SGPC Seeks Passports from Sikhs Aspirant of Marking Sher-e-Punjab’s Death Anniversary in Pakistan

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has appealed the Sikh devotees willing of observing the 180th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Lahore (Pakistan) to submit their passports by May 3. Notably, the Pakistani High Commission grants visas to Sikh devotees every year to mark the death anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

Sharing the development with media, SGPC secretary Mohinder Singh Aahli informed that the aspirant Sikh devotees can submit their passports for visa stamping at SGPC’s headquarters by May 3. “An identity proof along with a recommendation letter from the concerned SGPC constituency must also be submitted,” he added.
