:dateline:In the 792 page chargesheet submitted to the Faridkot Court last week, the Special Investigation Team has not named any SAD leader as an accused in the Behbal Klan firing incident. However, the SIT has said in its 21 page brief report that the Ex-SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma had fabricated a fake note to justify the Behbal Klan firing and registered a false case against the Sikh protesters by fabricating cross firing.
Sources have revealed that the SIT has written in the chargesheet that the Ex-SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma, Ex-SP Fazilka Bikramjit Singh, Inspector Pardeep Singh and SHO of Bajakhana Police station Amarjit Singh were indicted on November 11, 2018 on the basis of the investigation report of Justice Ranjit Singh.
Presenting several evidences and witnesses, the SIT has stated in the chargesheet that the Police party headed by Ex-SSP Charanjit Sharma misbehaved and disrespectfully kicked the peacefully protesting Sikhs at Behbal Klan. The SIT has also confirmed the deaths of Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan in this firing besides confirming the identities of injured victims Gurdit Singh, Beant Singh, Angrej Singh and Harjinder Singh.
The SIT has clarified that the Naib Tehsildar Pritpal Singh was present as a Duty Magistrate on the spot, but the Police party neither contacted him before opening the fire nor it took any permission from him in written or orally. It has been also clarified in the chargesheet that the Deputy Commissioner had not banned peaceful public protests at that time.
The SIT has also exposed how the Police cops fabricated a fake story of firing by the Sikh protesters by creating bullet marks on the Gypsy with .12 bore rifle of a guard working in a private firm. The SIT has clarified that SP Bikramjit Singh had fired upon the Gypsy in Faridkot to create bullet marks.
