Canadian Parliamentarian Sukh Dhaliwal Pays Obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Canadian parliamentarian Sukh Dhaliwal today paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib and offered prayers for the high spirit of Sikhs and Punjabis residing in all the corners of the world. He also get the latest special Gold and Silver coins issued by the SGPC in commemoration of the 550th birthday celebration programs on this occasion.

He especially met the SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh at SGPC headquarters in the Teja Singh Samundari Hall and hailed the SGPC’s efforts of organizing special programs in commemoration of the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He promised him of making special efforts to ensure the participation of Sikh diaspora in the 550th birth anniversary programs.

Sukh Dhaliwal also thanked the SGPC for establishing an NRI cell in relation to the 550th birth anniversary programs.

He was honored with a “Siropao” (robe of honor) by the SGPC authorities on this occasion.
