Sirsa Cult Engineered Sacrilege Incidents, SIT informs Court

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Special Investigation Team headed by DIG Ranbir Singh Khatra submitted a Challan in the Court against the five Sirsa cult affiliated sacrilege culprits on January 4. Notably, the sacred “Angs” of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were found scattered in the streets of village Mallke in November, 2015.

It is learnt that the SIT has informed the Court that the instructions to commit sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were given from Sirsa cult’s headquarters. The SIT has further informed the Court that the sacrilege culprits Amardeep “Singh” and Mithu were properly instructed to scatter the torn “Angs” of desecrated corpus. “Culprits Satta and Davinder made the arrangements to steal corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Prithi Singh was their head who received direct instructions from the Sirsa cult’s headquarters” reads the Challan.

It is pertinent to note here that three other culprits namely Pardeep Kaler, Sandeep Bareta and Harsh Dhuri are still absconding in this case. The SIT will submit a separate challan against them after their arrest.

Notably, this SIT was appointed to crack the sacrilege cases during the tenure of SAD-BJP led Punjab government and the serving Congress led Punjab government had continued this SIT.
