Meaning: noun: Way of life.

Quote:

hari dhiaavahu saas giraas.
man preet lagee tinaa gurmukhaa   hari naam jinaa rahraas.
Contemplate the Divine with every breath.
The minds of those Gurmukhs, who made the Naam of the Divine their way of life, have been filled with deep love (for the Divine). -Guru Ram Das Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 82

Message: At the back of our minds we all know that there is a greater power that allows for every breath to be taken. Yet, very few contemplate or reflect on this source.

Every breath that we inhale and exhale is given by the Divine. We are alive through the Divine. It is only with an enlightened consciousness that we realize this. With gratitude in our minds for this gift of life, we develop a deep love for the Divine. We express this love through making His wisdom a way of life.

The Gurmukhs or the Guru-centred ones, with an enlightened consciousness, live their life in line with the Divine wisdom. They have made the right transaction.

Etymology: Blend of Persian raah (way) + raast (right): right way of life.
