After Sukhbir Badal, Ex-DGP Sumedh Saini Also Seeks Probe of Kotkapura Firing Incident by CBI

:dateline:Notorious Ex-DGP of Punjab Sumedh Saini approached the Punjab & Haryana High Court on October 9 against assigning the probe of sacrilege and police firing cases to the Special Investigation Team by Punjab government. Sikh24 has learnt that Sumedh Saini has adopted a strategy similar to SAD (Badal) i.e. demanding the probe of sacrilege cases by CBI which is considered as a tool of the Union government of India.

The Punjab & Haryana High Court bench headed by Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill is processing Sainis petition in which he has sought directions to the state and other respondents that the probe should not be carried out by the Punjab Police in case of allegations against him.

It may be recalled here that the Justice Ranjit Singh led Investigation Commission had held Sumedh Saini responsible for the unprovoked firing opened on peacefully protesting Sikhs at Kotkapura on October 14, 2015.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that hearing on Sainis petition will be conducted today by Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill.

  1. The Morcha- Dharna In Bargari And Demands: The main demands of The Morcha- Dharna In Bargari, The Morcha-Dharna at Bargari Village in District Faridkot, Punjab led by parallel Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand include as under:

    (i) To implement in the letter and spirit the Justice Ranjit Singh Commissions report (Now a public document), fully debated on August 28, 2018 in the Assembly of Punjab-The Punjab Vidhan Sabha as the SIT and the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission have already given detail at Dera Sacha Sauda followers in the sacrilege cases;

    (ii) Also indicted former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in the 2015 Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege case, adding that he was well aware of the situation developing at Kotkapura and the subsequent firings ordered as being a highly sensitive matter ignored, intentionally and deliberately, since then and being continued so ;

    (iii) The firings ordered is being a highly sensitive matter and it was the most cruel act similar to The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919 when a crowd of nonviolent protesters, along with Baishakhi pilgrims, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab, were fired upon by troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer.

    (iv) But here is the Badal Family involved and at whose instance and in lieu of what and obviously also being helped by CM Captain Amarinder Singh?

    (v) Will The Dharna In Bargari, The dharna at Bargari Village in District Faridkot, Punjab led by parallel Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand get answer to all this now.

    AND

    (vi) To secure the release of Sikh political detainees who have served their jail terms immediately.
