Captain’s Scold behind Indictment of Guilty Police Cops in FIR?

CHANDIGARH—A news published in a Punjab vernacular ‘Daily Ajit’ reveals that a strict order by the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh forced the Punjab police to induct the names of four guilty Police cops in an FIR registered three years back. Otherwise, the Punjab police chief was adamant to save the Police cops guilty of massacring two innocent Sikh youths.

Notably, the Faridkot police had inducted names of four police officers, namely SSP Charanjit Sharma, SP Bikramjit Singh, Senior Inspector Amarjit Singh and Inspector Pardip Singh on August 11 in the FIR registered on October 21, 2015 against unknown police cops for opening an unprovoked firing on the peacefully protesting Sikhs at Behbal Klan.

It is learnt that the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh had undergone eye surgery due to which he remained absent from office during the last few days. But after joining his duty, Captain immediately took on the Punjab police officials for not inducting the names of guilty police cops despite a written notice by the Punjab government for the full-fledge implementation of the recommendations of the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission.

Sources have informed that the Punjab DGP was against indictment of the Police cops in this FIR but Captain’s scold left no room for him to shield the guilty cops.
