New Train for Rajasthani Sikhs from Sri Ganganagar to Takht Sri Hazur Sahib

SRI GANGANAGAR, Rajasthan—The Rajasthan resident Sikhs have been facilitated with a new train between Sri Ganganagar and Takht Sri Hazur Sahib (Nanded) by the Indian government. A Sikh jatha enthusiastically started its pilgrimage for Takht Sri Hazur Sahib on the inauguration of this new train today.

Interacting with the media while flagging off this new train today, renowned Sikh personality S. Tejinder Pal Singh Timma said that this long time dream of Rajasthan Sikhs has been turned into reality by the former union minister and the serving parliamentarian Nihal Chand. He added that now the Rajasthan resident Sikhs will be able to depart for Takht Sri Hazur Sahib daily from Sri Ganganagar railway station.

 

S. Tejinder Pal Singh Timma also made an appeal to the parliamentarian Nihal Chand on the behalf of Sikh masses to commence a train between Sri Ganganagar and the holy city Sri Harmandir Sahib. 

Parliamentarian Nihal Chand was specially honored with Sirapao by the local Sikh leaders headed by S. Tejinder Pal Singh Timma on this occasion.

S. Harpreet Singh Bablu, Baba Gagandeep Singh Khalsa, Baba Harpal Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
