BREAKING: Holy Corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vandalized near Samana (Patiala)

PATIALA, Punjab—An unfortunate incident of vandalizing the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Punjab has once again come to fore. The sacrilege incidents are continuously occurring in Punjab despite the repeated appeals of the SGPC and Punjab administration to the Gurdwara committees to remain highly vigilant.

A holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was reportedly vandalized today by a woman in the Gurdwara Sahib of village Kheri Fatta near Samana. The incident came to light when some Sikhs had come to reinstall the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Gurdwara Sahib of village Kheri Fatta after the culmination of a religious ceremony.

Sacrilege Culprit Woman

Sharing the development with media, Bhai Kuldeep Singh Khalistani informed Sikh24 that the Sikhs observed suspicious movements of a woman sitting inside Gurdwara premises. On thoroughly probing the matter, the torn ‘Angs’ of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were recovered from her.

Local Sikhs have approached the SGPC and have asked the police to conduct an inquiry. More details will be shared as they become available.
