AMRITSAR SAHIB—Taking strong notice of printing the photo of Sri Harmandir Sahib on one of snacks packing by Haldiram, the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has served a legal notice to the firm named Haldiram. Notably, a photo of concerned snacks packing had gone viral over social media.
SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal has said that the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib was the holiest Sikh shrine for the Sikhs and center of spirituality for people of all faiths. He added that any attempt to degrade its sanctity would not be tolerated. He has appealed to the entire Sikh community not to buy the concerned snacks packing of Haldiram.
