Kaar Sewa Begins for Giving Traditional Look to Expanded Portion of Guru Ram Dass Langar

AMRITSAR SAHIB—Kaar Sewa for providing traditional look to the newly built building of Guru Ram Dass Langar Hall was begun today. The Kaar Sewa (volunteer service) was begun following ‘Ardas’ performing by Bhai Rajdeep Singh.

It is noteworthy here that although the work of building this new portion of Guru Ram Dass Langar Hall was given to a private contractor in 2011 but now the SGPC has assigned its final work to the Kaar Sewa seminary led by Baba Bachan Singh and Baba Mohinder Singh Ji Delhi Wale.

SGPC member S. Gobind Singh Longowal said on this occasion that the SGPC keeps on making efforts for providing smooth journey to the pilgrims. He added that the building of Guru Ram Dass Langar Hall has been expanded keeping in view the rising count of pilgrims to Sri Harmandir Sahib. “Special lifts have been installed in the building to board aspirants of partaking ‘langar’ on the upper floors of newly built building” he added.

SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh, Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Baba Bachan Singh and Baba Mohinder Singh Delhi Wale and former Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jasbir Singh Khalsa, SGPC’s executive member Advocate Jaspal Singh Majhpur, SGPC member Manjit Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
