A Delhi High Court bench comprising of its acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Anu Malhotra questioned that why Balwan Khokhar should be given interim bail when his injury was not life threatening.

The bench further questioned Balwan Khokhar “You are getting the best treatment from to five hospitals for your ailments at government expense while the people outside suffering from serious ailments were able to get treatment from only one such hospital. There is nothing critical or life threatening in it, the why should we grant you an interim bail?”.
