Sirsa Cult Impotency Case: High Court asks CBI to submit final report at the earliest

—The Punjab & Haryana High Court on October 25 issued strict direction to the Central Bureau of Investigation for completing investigation in a case pertaining to castrating of the male disciples by Sirsa Cult Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.  High Court has asked the CBI to submit the final report at the earliest.

Notably, the CBI had been submitting status report in a sealed envelope during every hearing of the case but the Court this time asked the CBI to submit final report. Next hearing of the case has been deferred to February, 2018.

It is noteworthy here that a former Sirsa cult disciple Hans Raj Chauhan had moved a petition in Punjab & Haryana High seeking investigation into matter. Hans Raj Chauhan had told the Court that the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim had made him impotent by saying that this is the way to meet God. Petitioner had also presented a list of 400 devotees of Sirsa cult who were made impotent.

In response to the High Court’s notice, Sirsa Cult Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim had refuted allegation by saying that it was a stunt to destroy the goodwill of Sirsa cult.
