SRI AMRITSAR, Punjab—Khalra Mission Organization (KMO) has announced to hold a special ardas (prayer) program at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on November 1 ahead of 2017’s assembly polls.  Speaking with Sikh24, Prabhjit Singh from KMO said that the program is being organized ahead of the assembly elections as they are very important for the Sikhs.

KMO’s patron Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra appealed the Sikh masses to vote in 2017 assembly polls as per directions of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.  Bibi Paramjit Kaur is the wife of Shaheed Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra and is spearheading the Khalsa Mission seeking charges against guilty officials for their role in 1984 Sikh killings.

“Indian state was deliberately working to sledgehammer Sikhi from Punjab on the names of secularism, Punjab and Punjabiat.  Nobody should be allowed to loot the Punjab’s natural resources at any cost,” she added.

Taking a dig on Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Bibi Paramjit Kaur Khalra said that Kejriwal was playing dubious politics on Sikh issues.

“On one side Kejriwal boasts of granting status of a ‘Holy City’ to Sri Amritsar Sahib but on the other he doesn’t favour independent probe into 1984 armed invasion Indian Army into the sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib,” said said.

Bibi Khalra further told Sikh24 that Kerjiwal’s own ministers in Delhi were facing charges of corruption while he is boasting of making Punjab a corruption free state.  He spoke about importance of Sikh principles for the elections.
