CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A meeting of Congress executives is being conducted with it’s Punjab leadership today in New Delhi, to discuss the Khadoor Sahib bypoll taking place on February 13. In this meeting, the party leadership will take decision whether it should contest bypoll or not.

As per sources, if the party decides to contest the election, it would field Ramanjit Singh Sikki who resigned as an MLA to protest against sacrilege of holy ‘Bir’ of Guru Granth Sahib at village Baath.

Although Sikki has reportedly refused to contest the election as the issue on which he resigned from the key post, is still unresolved, the Congress leadership may force him to do so he was the only candidate to hold such a strong foothold there.

  1. We need to form a new party which reflect the will and aspiration of our people .

    “Neo -Alkali Dal”

By the Sikhs ,For the Sikhs and off the Sikhs.

    • The brand ‘Akali Dal’ has been poisoned by the Badal royal family so there is no point in just called it ‘new’ and business goes on as usual. Sikhism has always been progressive and radical and that is what is needed. The multitude of Sikh parties should all disband and form one political party with a brand new name and with no Sikhs over the age of 40 being allowed seats of leadership so yes that means pretty much every Sikh leader has to swallow his ego for the greater good and get off the stage taking any baggage with him. The new under 40 leaders will only take up their positions with the undertstanding that this is a seva rather than feathering your nest exercise: the subsequent two generations within that person’s immediate family will be barred from public office to discourage dynasty building. It is a scorched earth policy to try and remove all previous contamination. This new party with its leaders should be completely financially transparent so that we know exactly what assets and interests each member has before going into power (so professional auditing) and how and by what means these have increased after power with a criminal offence for anyone depositing monies outside of Punjab either in cash or land purchases (so no dodgy Swiss bank accounts or investments abroad). Terms of office should be restricted to two terms maximum before retirement is mandatory which should make it less attractive and easy for Hinduvta mafia to try and seduce Sikh leaders into doing their bidding. Nepotism and bribery of a public official should be a capital offence for both the person offering bribe and the one accepting it. The first five tiers of Punjab police across the board should all be pensioned off immediately if not indicted with a truth and reconciliation commission offering rewards for whistle blowing. All subsequent elections should be supervised by international monitors and election fraud also made a mandatory capital offence. The Badals and the SGPC have zero role left to play other than bellydance for their Hinduvta masters at Ram Rahim private parties.
