Ghallughara June 1984: Amritsar shut down call receives great response

AMRITSAR SAHIB—On the 31st anniversary of June 1984 Sikh holocaust, shut down call given by Panthik organizations received huge response from the civilian population of Amritsar. Despite of strictness implemented by Administration and Police, the Sikh population demonstrated sharp protest against the Indian state.

Dal Khalsa’s Spokesperson S. Kanwarpal Singh said on this occasion that the response to shut down call depicts the freshness of wounds on the Sikh Psyche. He informed that the police detained them in office and didn’t let them organize protests in the city.
