AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala has announced to support the hunger strike of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike since 16th January, 2015 for the permanent release of Sikh detainees languishing in the different jails of India.
Talking to Sikh24, Vice President of Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal said that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has dedicated his whole life to the Sikh Panth. He said that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa remained in support of Sikh organizations during his whole life. He also provided financial aid to many Panthik organizations in the time of need.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal said that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa exploited the sentiments of Sikh nation by terminating his hunger strike without any result. He appreciated the decision of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa for commencing the hunger strike at Hassanpur to fulfill the ardas performed by Bhai Gurbakhh Singh Khalsa.
It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has crossed the 82 years of his life. He was nearby to Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh Ji and Shaheed Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu during the sikh struggle of 20th century.
