SGPC Allots 5 Acre of Land for Building Baba Moti Ram Mehra Memorial

FATEHGARH SAHIB, Punjab—The Punjab Government has started work on constructing Baba Moti Ram Mehra memorial. It is notable that Baba Moti Ram Mehra served milk to Mata Gujri and the Shote Sahibzaade during their detention in the Thanda Burj. Former Minister S. Hira Singh Gaabrhiya, S. Karnail Singh Panjoli (Member, Executive Committee of SGPC) S. Jagdeep Singh Cheema (District President of Shiromani Akali Dal), Manager Amarjit Singh, S. Nirmal Singh (Vice Chairman, Backward Class Welfare Department) today pointed out the right land for the memorial to be constructed.

S. Gaabrhiya promised that Punjab Tourism Department will spend Rupees 50-70 Million for constructing 100 feet wide roads and for working on aesthetics during the first stage. SGPC Member Bhai Ravinder Singh Khalsa, S. Parshotam Singh (Convener, Baba Moti Ram Mehra Trust), General Secretary Devinder Singh, Prem Singh (Mandi Gobindgarh), Harinder Singh Kukki, Baldev Singh Dusanjh, Thekedar Ranjit Singh, Gurdev Singh Nabha, Banarsi Dass Sirhind, Kuldeep Singh Sirhind, Gurdev Singh Nabha, Gurmeet Singh Morinda, Ami Chand Macchhiwada, Major Singh Khalsa, Bibi Balwinder Kaur, Bibi Mohinder Kaur Patiala, Sarwan Singh Behal, Jai Singh Roorkee, Raghbir Singh Kalian, Master Jagdish Singh Ludhiana, Harmeet Singh Khalsa (Mandi Gobindgarh), Archaeological Officer Rajinder Singh Bath and Architecht Pardeep Singh were present on this occasion.
