SOPW stated, “Although, the weather at the start made the walk more difficult, the Sangat carried on with ‘Waheguru’ on their lips, and a smile on their face. The sun soon began to shine its light on God’s wonderful creation, and the scenery was spectacular!”
Children as young as six, as well as elders in their 60’s took part. By doing so, they helped to ensure that the children of Sikh Political Prisoners in India have access to a good education, which will in turn improve their future as well as the future of those around them.
The Sikh Organization for Prisoner Welfare is a registered charity founded in 2008. It is run by volunteers to help those in need, particularly prisoners of conscience.
