Sikh Sangat and Panthik Leaders To Continue Sit-in-Strike at Bargadi

FARIDKOT, Punjab—Amid tense situation in Punjab, it has been decided to continue sit-in-strike protest at village Bargadi.  There were rumors that after Akal Takht Sahib took back the hukamnama on Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the strike would end.

Earlier today, Sikh24 spoke exclusively with Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale to obtain first hand information on his stance.  Baba Ranjit Singh told Sikh24 that the sit-in-strikes will be observed continuously until October 25.  “We have decided to allow the markets and shops to remain open, however for three hours, from 10 am to 1 pm in each district daily, Sikh Sangat will continue the protests,” he added.

“If the Government doesn’t arrest the culprits by October 25, whatever decision is taken by the Sikh Sangat will be followed by him and rest of the leaders,” he told Sikh24.
