BREAKING: Sikh Protester on Hunger Strike Dies at�Harike Bridge

:dateline:A 50-year-old Nihang Singh who was�on a hunger strike against the alleged desecration of Guru Granth Sahib at Harike died�few hours ago.

He has been identified as Puran Singh, a resident of village Dholan Thathian, near Bhikhiwind town. He had been on a hunger strike for the past 4 days on Harike bridge where thousands of Sikh protesters are continuing stir against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.�The death has put the administration in yet another tight spot as it is already facing very tense situation.

Some�protesters said he was facing a heart problem due to which he could not bear hunger. The death has made the situation�more tense in the area.

His dead body was not cremated by the protesters till this story�was published. �Thousands of protesters have continued the protest in the area.
