Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib’s Kathavachak Giani Vijender Singh dies of COVID-19

Giani Vijender Singh Kapoor, the head Kathavachak of Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib, has passed away today after being declared COVID-19 positive. He breathed his last while being taken to a specialized hospital in Hyderabad.

It is learned that Giani Vijender Singh was admitted to a local hospital of Nanded after he complained of health deterioration. Today, he was declared infected with COVID-19 after which the local doctors referred him to a hospital in Hyderabad but he died while being on his way to Hyderabad.

It is pertinent to note here that Giani Vijender Singh was a Sikh intellectual with a strong understanding of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sarabloh Granth, and Dasam Granth. He has been serving as a kathavachak for the last two decades while holding prominent positions of Vice Head Granthi, Head Granthi, Dhoopia, and Vice Jathedar at Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib.

Baba Kulwant Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib, has expressed deep grief over the demise of Giani Vijender Singh.

Hazoor Sahib based Kaar Sewa sect head Sant Baba Balwinder Singh Kaar Sewa, Singh Sahib Giani Kashmir Singh (Head Granthi), Singh Sahib Baba Ram Singh Dhoopia and others have also condoled the demise of Giani Vijender Singh.
