DELHI, India—Deadlock between the protesting farmers and BJP-led central government of India continues as the formers today rejected the latter’s written proposal of amending the laws.

After rejecting the fresh proposals, the farmer leaders have decided to intensify the protests. They announced plans to seal Jaipur-Delhi and Jaipur-Agra highways till December 12. They will stage the protest at the district level and intensify it on December 14 across the country. During the countrywide protest, farmers will protest outside the BJP offices.

The farmers appealed to the people to boycott Ambani and Adani products, JIO mobile, and petrol pumps owned by Reliance.

The farmers reiterated that the mere amendments will not solve their issue and rolling back these laws will be the only solution.

‘PROPOSALS DIVERSIONARY AND DELAYING TACTICS’

Reacting to the move of sending a written proposal, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) urged the Government of India to stop playing games with the innocent farmers of the country and immediately and unconditionally withdraw the three controversial Acts and accept all the other demands of the farmers.

The SAD said “it fully backs the farmers’ rejection of the proposals sent by the Government of India, saying that these proposals were nothing but delaying and diversionary tactics and tricks which have rightly been rejected by the farmers.”
