Missing Saroops: Bhai Wadala gives Punjab Chief Minister 15-day ultimatum to lodge FIR against accused

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Sikh Sadbhawna Dal head and former hazoori ragi of Sri Darbar Sahib (Harmandir Sahib) Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala today gave Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh a 15-day ultimatum to register FIR against the SGPC functionaries who have been held guilty of misappropriation that led to as many as 328 Guru Granth Sahib’s holy saroops going missing.

Bhai Wadala gave this ultimatum while addressing the panthik gathering he called at the site of indefinite morcha run by his organization along with Baba Fauja Singh on the heritage street that leads to Sri Darbar Sahib for the last 33 days. He said if the FIR is not registered in this case, they would gherao the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa who is known as panthik face of the state government.

On the call of Bhai Wadala, the Sikh sangat reached at the morcha site in huge numbers and they drew attention of the common devotees passing through the street. Other Sikh preachers also addressed the gathering.

Reacting to the SAD (Badal) patriarch Parkash Badal’s returning his “Padma Vibhushan” award to President of India, the former hazoori ragi said, “He (Badal) got this award as price of selling out precious river water of Punjab. Thus, he got the water looted by other states through the Central government. This was a great betrayal of the Punjab’s people. How will these sins of Badal wash away?”
