AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—On November 13, the 263rd martyrdom anniversary of the great Sikh martyr Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji was marked at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj in Amritsar with full devotion. Thousands of devotees thronged to Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh on this day to pay homage to Baba Deep Singh Ji.
A religious event was organized on this occasion in which renowned Raagi Jathas and Kathavachaks addressed religious discourse following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib.
SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh and Takht Sri Patna Sahib’s Jathedar Giani Ranjit Singh Gauhar-e-Maskeen also attended this program.
Addressing the Sikh sangat, Giani Harpreet Singh said that the life of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh was a mixture of meditation and the divine power which inspires us to live our lives in the dedication of Guru Sahib. “The martyrs of our community enlightened the path to live our lives under the fear of only Almighty Lord,” he added.
He appealed to the sangat to adopt Sikh values in their lives.
SGPC’s former senior vice president Rajinder Singh Mehta, Executive member Magwinder Singh Khapadkhedi, Bawa Singh Gumanpura, Harjap Singh Sultanwind, Ajaib Singh Abhiasi, Bikramjit Singh Kotla, Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Baba Sukhwinder Singh, Manager Harpreet Singh, etc. were present on this occasion.
