AMRITSAR: Mother-daughter suspected of suffering from novel coronavirus admitted in Hospital

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—On February 5, a mother-daughter suspected of suffering from novel coronavirus have been noticed in Amritsar. It is learnt that duo of them had arrived in Amritsar after travelling through China from New Zealand.

Dr. Raman Sharma, the Medical Superintendent of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, informed that the duo suspects have been kept in an isolated ward and a specialized team of doctors has been prepared for this ward.

“The duo mother-daughter complained of severe pain in their throat, after which they were admitted in an isolated ward and their samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for testing,” he added.

He further informed that it will take two days to get confirmed whether the admitted mother-daughter are infected from novel coronavirus or not.
