CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Taking cognizance of the objectionable wording uttered about funeral episode of Guru Nanak Sahib, the SGPC appointed officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has sought clarification from the UK based Sikh preacher Harinder Singh within 15 days.
Sharing the development with media, Akal Takht Jathedar’s personal assistant Jaspal Singh Dhadde informed that Giani Harpreet Singh has sought clarification from Harinder Singh within two weeks about his objectionable remark on funeral episode of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
It may be recalled here that Harinder Singh had raised apprehensions about the kidnapping and murder of Guru Nanak Sahib while narrating his funeral episode. Later, he had retracted his apprehensions following sharp reaction of Sikh sangat all over the world.
Last month, a number of UK Sikh organizations and Gurdwara management committees had banned him from performing the duty of religious preachment.
