Sukhbir Badal destroyed Shiromani Akali Dal, says Dhindsa

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On December 18, rebel Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa launched a sharp attack on SAD president Sukhbir Badal by holding him responsible for destroying the democratic setup of the Shiromani Akali Dal. Dhindsa said that Sukhbir Badal is the only SAD president who didn’t resign even after losing elections.

Dhindsa organized a meeting at his residence in Sangrur on December 18 in which a huge number of party activists took part despite directions by the party high command to keep themselves away from this meeting.

“In future, even if Sukhbir quits SAD president post and Parkash Badal takes charge, I do not see any possibility of compromising with them. Earlier, I was alone in raising my voice against the Badals, but now we are a group of like-minded people and all decisions of any rapprochement would be taken by all group members,” said Dhindsa.
