Khalsa Aid supports protest against non-secular CAA; Volunteers serve Tea and Snacks to protesters in Delhi

NEW DELHI, India—Adhering to the teachings of great Sikh masters to recognize the entire humanity as a single race, the Khalsa Aid has come up in support of the protesters seeking scrapping of non-secular Citizenship Amendment Act.

The volunteers of Khalsa Aid have been observed serving snacks and tea to the protesters in New Delhi.

“Our Khalsa Aid India team serving tea and snacks at the #CABProtests in Delhi. Great Seva guys,” wrote Khalsa Aid’s founder Ravi Singh in an update posted from his social media account today.

It is pertinent to note here that the Indian government has passed a Citizenship Amendment Act to give instant citizenship to the followers of Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christian faith, who arrives in India from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The CAA is being protested for its non-secular spirit, which also contradicts the Indian constitution, as it keeps aside Muslims from giving this benefit.

Also, there is a wave of panic among the Muslims residing in India due to the anti-Muslim policies like NRC adopted by the BJP led Indian government.

Although, the BJP government is trying to appease other minorities of India but the Sikhs have stood up against BJP’s policy.

Even, the BJP’s ally SAD president Sukhbir Badal has sought inclusion of Muslims in this act by saying that there is an existence of persecution within community in Pakistan. He cited the persecution of Ahmadiya Muslims in Pakistan to back his demand.
