Punjab’s first Stubble Bank launched in Sangrur; Collected stubble will be used for foddering cattle

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—With the support of the secretary of Akal College (Mastuana Sahib) Jaswant Singh Khehra, several social welfare organizations of Sangrur have opened the first bank of Punjab to collect and deposit stubble so that the pollution being caused by stubble burning could be stopped.  

Sharing the development with media, Swami Amrita Anand and Dr. A.S. Mann informed that the collection of stubble has been started from today. “This stubble will be used for foddering cattle. The work to convey this stubble to Gaushalaas (charitable home for old uncared cows) will also begin from today,” they added.
