CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On July 26, three pro-freedom groups namely Dal Khalsa, United Akali Dal and SAD ( Amritsar) held a gathering to deliberate on continued loot of river waters, resurfacing of SYL row, letting off four police convicts by state government, refusing to release Sikh detainees who have completed life sentence , making UAP Act 1967 more draconian, giving unbridled powers to NIA, derailing Bargari sacrilege case and infringement of states right by the Centre. The meeting decided to protest against injustices, discriminations and suppression of rights on Aug 15.

“Aug 15 symbolizes India. We will stage a protest on that day as all these contentious issues are directly linked to Indian laws, parliament and governments – that are anti-Sikhs. At the end of the day, Justice eluded the Sikhs”, said he.
