UK Sikhs: Ninder Singh Johal appointed as deputy lieutenant of West Midlands

LONDON, England (UK)—56 years old Sikh businessman Ninder Singh Johal, who lives in West Midlands county of England, has been appointed as a deputy lieutenant of his constituency. He holds an MBA degree from the Aston University and is renowned for his contribution in music and the Punjabi dance ‘Bhangra’.

The West Midlands is a metropolitan county in western-central England with an estimated population of 2,808,356, (according to 2014’s census) making it the second most populous county in England after Greater London.

Speaking to media, Ninder Singh said that it’s a matter of pride for him and this surprising achievement has also brought a lot of happiness to him. “I couldn’t realize the reality until I didn’t see myself in the dress of Deputy Lieutenant,” he said while adding that his religion has brought him to this height.
