CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh today, the SAD president Sukhbir Badal informed that the Union government of India has removed the names of 274 Sikhs from the black list. He informed that now names of only 40 Sikhs have been left in this black list of India.
Beside it, the Indian government has also scrapped all the black lists prepared by the Indian embassies in various countries on their own.
Pretending to be a sympathizer of the Sikhs who have been blacklisted by the Indian government, Sukhbir Badal said that the black listed Sikhs had to face problems due to this black list but now all their problems have been sorted out.
Sukhbir Badal informed that the restrictions on the families of these Sikhs have been also lifted and they can now come to India without any problem.
He further said that the Union government of India is thoroughly deliberating upon the issue of political Sikh prisoners who have been languishing in the Indian jails despite completing quantum of sentences granted to them. He expressed hope that positive results will come out in this concern.
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫ਼ਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਤਾਰਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ 30 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2019 ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਮ ਹੱਦ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਕਰ ਕੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ 'ਚ ਅੜਿਕੇ ਪਾਉਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 550ਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ, 1984 ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ, ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੂਚੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਹਤ, ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਨਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਹਾਂ।It was a pleasure to share details of the work being done on the Kartarpur Corridor with mediapersons at a press conference in Chandigarh. The outer deadline for the work, which is being done at a rapid pace, is October 30, 2019. However, I regret to observe how Pakistan has retracted from its stance to place hurdles in the way of completion of the work. Besides this, I told my friends from the media that we are indebted to the Union government and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for according priority to issues like Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 550th Parkash Purb, 1984 Sikh genocide, relief from blacklisting, compensation for Jodhpur detainees and release of imprisoned Sikhs.
